Thanks for your support!!!

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!!  I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone who was able to support my big screen debut in the movie The Salon over the past few weeks in the theaters.  I know, I know, the material was a bit dated and of course your typical Barbershop storyline, but please understand that this movie was done several years ago and the release of it was held up because of the legalities behind the release of Queen Latifah’s, Beautyshop, but that’s a whole ‘nother story.  Not to mention the fact that they really didn’t put much effort into advertising because they want to focus more on the DVD sells.  But nonetheless, I worked with some heavy hitters, enjoyed the experience, made some great contacts/friends and cashed the check (smile).

Since the opening, I have had a few auditions, worked on The Wire and the movie Get Smart and have a few business ventures in development.  You know a sista’ has to get her hustle on to make things happen.  One project in particular that I’m working on is the development of a novel into a television pilot.  This of course is a big opportunity for me because it would afford me the opportunity to work both behind the scenes and get that experience, as well as be an actor in this project and his ensuing television/movie adaptations of his other books.  Jonathan Luckett is his name and he is a local area writer/author and the title of the book is The Mating Game - www.jonathanluckett.com.  The story takes place here in Washington, DC and Jonathan wants to use all local talent and crew to complete this project.  We are in the process now of looking for investors to finance this project.  Every investor will receive producer credit and we are asking for investments beginning as low as $1,000. If you or maybe someone you know has ever thought about getting into investing and/or are in need of something else to invest money in, please get in contact with me.

Until next time!
